The short version: the pattern-design app itself runs entirely in your browser and stores your patterns on your own device — nothing about your designs is ever sent anywhere. The only data we collect is (1) an email address if you voluntarily sign up for a notification, and (2) anonymous technical error reports that help us fix bugs. We don't sell data, run ads, or share anything with third parties beyond the email service we use to send messages you asked for.

What we collect

WhatWhenWhy
Email address, and name if you provide one You submit a signup form (trial reminder opt-in, "notify me" purchase-interest form, or a support/contact form) To send you the specific email you asked for — a trial reminder, a launch notification, or a reply to your question. Nothing else.
IP address, browser/OS info, page URL, and a randomly generated session ID Automatically, only when the app hits an unexpected error Error telemetry so we can diagnose and fix bugs. This is not tied to any account — there are no accounts.
Your bead patterns, project files, and app settings Never sent anywhere These live entirely in your browser's local storage on your own device. We have no way to see them, and no server ever receives them.

How long we keep it

Signup emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them (every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or you can just email us). Error telemetry is kept in server logs for troubleshooting and rotated out over time; it's never linked back to a person.

Who we share it with

We use Resend as our transactional email provider to actually deliver the emails you sign up for — that's the only third party involved, and they only see what's needed to send the message. We don't sell, rent, or otherwise share your information with anyone else.

Your choices

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also just email us directly to ask what we have on file or to have it deleted. Since the app itself needs no account and no email to use, the simplest way to avoid all of this is to just not fill out a signup form — the trial and every stitch-design feature work the same either way.
